The "Daily Mail” says that the Liberal Party leader, Sir Archibald Sinclair, is reported to have had a somewhat heated interview with Mr. Chamberlain. It is believed that Sir Archibald Sinclair declared he felt it was his duty to the nation that he should deliver such a critical speech, as people throughout the country were gravely disturbed about the events la Norway, the Government’s handling of the campaign and the lack of official information. The “Daily Mail” adds that the atmosphere of concern regarding the conduct of the war as a whole continues to grow. [ln a siieech on Tuesday Sir Archibald, while deploring “apparently inspired” defeatist articles suggesting that the British forces should be evacuated from Norway, criticized “false prophecies” of a few weeks ago expressing optimism over the Allies' general war position. He asked questions of the Government, including why the British counter-stroke was “so slow in coming.”]
