HUTT HOSPITAL SCHEME
Plans Submitted To Department An assurance that Hie department would give every facility for securing early official approval to Ihe plans of the proposed hospital block and nurses’ home in the Hutt /Valley had been given by Hie Director-General of Health. Dr. 11. M. Watt, said Hie chairman of Hie building committee, Mr. A. H. Carman, at a meeting of tlie Wellington Hospital Board lust night, Mr. Carman said the committee had met Dr. Watt, and the plans for the hospital section and nurses’ home Were with tlie department. The committee was now seeking the board’s approval of these plans. Plans for the first section of .120 beds of the proposed two-storied hospital for the Hutt Valley, and also plans for a nurses’ home of two stories in Hie Hutt Valley were approved by the board. Notification is to be .given to contributory local authorities "of the board’s intention to bold a special meeting in approximately six week’s time to adopt a resolution seeking authority of the Local Government Loan Board to raise a loan of approximately £254,250 for the proposed Hutt Valley hospital, nurses’ home and services.
