OBITUARY
Lieut.-Col. T. F. Tweed By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. LONDON, April 30. The death lias occurred of Lieut.Colonel Thomas Frederic Tweed, M.C., chief of stall: and political adviser to Mr David Llovd George. He was one of the founders of the Liberal summer schools and was chief organizer of the Libera! Party from 1927 to 1931. He was the author of several novels winch emphasized political and social trends, including “Uiuehard.” ‘‘Gabriel Over White House" and "Blind Mouths. Mr. James Barnes (Received May 1. 10-50 a.m.) SYDNEY. May 1. The death was announced today of a prominent turf identity. Mr. .Lunes Barnes, aged 84. president of the New South Wales Trotting Hub since 1.>14 and former ehairman of Tattersails Club.
