Mr. Chamberlain’s Promise (British Official Wireless and Press Assn.) LONDON, April 30. The Prime Minister, Mr. Chamberlain, replying to a question in the House of Commons from the Leader of the Labour Opposition, Mr. C. R. Attlee, said that he would make a statement on the position in Norway as soon as possible, probably during the week. The Prime Minister said it was not in the public interest at present to make a statement on the British Government’s measures in Norway. A small party of Press representa fives are waiting to go to the Norwegian front at short notice. More will follow. The Secretary for War, Mr. Stanley, said: “The troops in Norway possess full war equipment.”
