Foxsen And Orwere Dominion Special Service. HAMILTON. April 30. The No. 1 grass track was in splendid order for galloping at Te Rapa this morning, when several attractive efforts were recorded by candidates for the Franklin Racing Club’s meeting at Pukekohe on Saturday. A solid round by Foxsen and a smart five furlongs by Orwere were the outstanding features of the morning. A thick fog delayed the commencement of the morning’s programme. Torch (Watson) and Susan (Day) were associated over a round in 2.0 1-5, finishing on terms. Au attractive round was credited to Foxsen (Long), who, with the assistance of Galshot (Curran) over the last five furlongs, traversed the distance in 1.53 J. Foxsen is in good order for her engagement in the President's Handicap at Pukekohe. Forest Acre (O. Mclnally) ran the last five furlongs of his work easily iu 1.9 4-5. Aiutree, Mio Lume and Gaine’s Choice finished as named at the end of a round in 2.0. Aintree finished on over the concluding stages of the effort. Maori Song (Long) traversed a round in 1.551, his last half-mile occupying 53. Maori Soug, a useful stake earner for the Winder stable last season, is bearing a healthy appearance, and should win further races for the stable.

Sunny Downs (Gollop), accompanied over the first half-mile by Pitana (Day) and brought home by the maiden, School Song (Brown) over the final five furlougs, was timed to negotiate a round in 1.54, his last half-mile being run in 53J. Sunny Downs is not without prospects at Pukekohe. , Nithmount (Taylor) ran once round in 2.2 4-5. ' Gasacre (Ensor) and Aquest (Meynell) came home from the five furlongs peg in 1.5 4-5. Raceline (O. Mclnally) who is bearing an improved appearance was doing better than General Riske (Amunsden) at the completion of six furlongs in 1.19 1-5, their last half-mile being cut out in 51. a smart effort. ’ The best five furlongs of the morning was that of Orwere (Gollop), who was shading Wildore (Brown) and Ngawiri (Ensor) over the deciding stages of the effort in 1.1, their final half-mile being run in 491. Orwere appears to be coming right back to his best again, and his exhibition this morning will increase his circle of admirers for his sprint engagement at Pukekohe on Saturday. Jewelled Girdle, Holme Fell and Kingcraft were ’associated over a round in 1.58 1-5. Helga (Brown) and Flashing Spear (Ensor) assisted over the last four furlongs by the half-sister to Orwere (Taylor), ran seven furlongs in 1.31, the last six occupying 1.17|. ' Olympus (Paul) dashed home from the half-mile in 51. He looks in good order to contest the sprint at Pukekohe this i week. Tutor (R. E. Thomson) was schooled over the steeplechase country and accomplished his task well. Tosh (Curran) was sent over four hurdles, and, though his display was not a dashing one, he accomplished his task safely. Very Glad (Thomson) and a Tractor gelding (Kowhai) were associated, over four hurdles, and gave a good display for comparative novices at the game. Cappy (Brady) was schooled over two hurdles and accomplished his task in solid style. Later he galloped once round in 1.59’4-5. Gay Poto (Curran) was sent over four hurdles and shaped well. Hunting Blood who is now locates with the successful trotting trainer, M. Stewart, was a visitor to the tracks this morning, and, all going well, he will be seen out at the approaching Waikato Riding engagements for the Pukekohe meeting include A. Curran, Nithmount; J. Day, Kakarere, Holme Fell, Simint; V. Gollop, Hackenschmidt, Acreman, Aquest. Sunny Downs.
