Horses For Amberley Dominion Special Service. CHRISTCHURCH, April 30. Conditions lor track work at Riccarton were very favourable today, the No. 6 grass truck providing excellent going, while some horses were galloped ou the plough. Most of the horses engaged at Saturday’s Amberley meeting were seen out, though those who had raced at M ashdyke last week were let off with comparatively easy tasks. On The Grass. Ryetown was the first out and he gave an indication of the condition of the track by reeling off six furlongs in 1.14 l-o. Prudent Prince finished better _than Settlement over three furlongs in 37 2-5, and Winchelsea bent Box On over half a mile in -19 2-5. Winchelsea is a three-year-old filly, by Lord Warden from Sweet Beauty, dam of Cottingham and Rebel Star, and is owned by her breeder, Mr. G. Hall. c< 1 Symbol beat Benevolent and St. Cloud over live furlongs in 1.1 2-5. Symbol' is a two-year-old filly, by Gascony, from Symballo, dam of Syindouy and The Crooner, and is being trained by H. Nurse for Miss E. Jones’, Timaru. Benevolent has shown marked improvement in his work of late, and may yet come good. Rebellion, carrying a good weight, covered five furlongs comfortably in 1.1 4-5. Disdain and Iceland Spar ran half a mile in 49 2-5.

Gold Nugget impressed by finishing a length in front of The Vulture and Auchusa, after taking 1.2 for five. Blue Abbey finished slightly in front of Dispense and Chanteur over the same ground in 1.3. Race Away accounted for Searteen in 1.3 3-5. Papernilla and Citizen took 1.4 3-5.

Anehusa is a half-brother by Myosotis to ’Willie Win. Blue Abbey is a two-year-old gelding, by Myosotis, from Some Abbey. Dispense is a two-year-old gelding, by Paper Money, from Minerva. Farida is a two-year-old filly, by Nightmarch, from Arrowlet, dam of Knight Commander and Lady Leigh. Gay Thread is a two-year-old colt by Lord Quex from Seamstress, dam of Hunting Chorus. Gold Nugget is a two-year-old colt, by Iliad, from Gold Dress. . Hurry Girl is a two-year-old filly, by Defoe, from Lady Camp.
