RECORDS DISALLOWED

Empire Games Times SYDNEY, March 28. At a meeting of the Amateur Athletic Association it was announced that the time of 14 seconds by Lavery (South Africa) for the 120 yards hurdles at the Empire Games will not lie accepted as an Empire, Australian, or New South Wales record. The Australian Athletic Union gave the reason “that the requisite certificate from the referee cannot be supplied.” For the same reason the SO metres hurdles time of 11 7-10 sec. by Miss Burke ( South Africa ) and the 220 yards run of 24-jsee. by Miss Norman (Australia 1 were rejected.
