Values A Shade Firmer Dominion Special Service. DUNEDIN, March 2S. A fair offering of rabbitskins was submitted at today’s auction before a large attendance of exporters, furriers and local traders. The catalogues comprised principally hatters’ grades, with moderate parcels of dawny and early autumns. Competition was keen from the outset, and buying was well spread. As compared with last sale’s quotations (February 28), values for all grades were a shade firmer. The official range of prices is:—Small, sid. to 7fd.; runners, 132 d. to 14fd.; light racks, ISd. to ISJd.; prime racks, ISd. to 18Jd:; summers, 13d. to 14d.: dawny autumns, ISJd. to 19Jd.; second early autumn, 19Jd. to 20d.; first early autumns, 20d. to 20}d.; summer broken. 12-jd. to 13Jd.; autumn broken, lad. to 17|d.; summer blacks, lOld. to 13fd.; fawns, 25Sd. to 30-jd.; hareskins, lOd. to Hid.; milkv, 12Jd. to 13d.; first milky, l-ojd. to 16<1. The next sale is listed for April 26, and sales will then be held fortnightly.
