Leander To Leave On

Saturday By Telegraph Pre*« Association AUCKLAND, March 28. Beginning her voyage to Australia, the cruiser Leander, flying the broad pennant of the commodore commanding the New Zealand Squadron, Commodore Rivet t-Citrn tie, will leave Devonport naval base this morning. She will be absent from Auckland till May 6 after paying visits to Sydney and Jervis Bay and engaging in gunnery and torpedo exercises with the Royal Australian Navy. Tlie Leander will carry out day practices in the Hauraki Gulf on Thursday afternoon, the exercises comprising gunnery work and higli-angie antiaircraft firing. She will anchor at Port Fitzroy, Great Barrier Island. on Thursday evening and leave for Sydney on Saturday.
