RIDGWAY’S TEAM FOR SOUTHLAND

Dominion Special Service. CHRISTCHURCH. March 28. G. Ridgway will leave for Southland tomorrow with Night Dress, Waitaka, Mungatoon and Garonne. The three lastnamed will race at Otaiitau on Saturday and. with Night Dress, will remain for the three-day Riverton meeting nt Easter. Night Dress has been penalized 51b. in the Riverton Cup for his win at Oamaru on Saturday, making bis weight 8.3. A, Messervy will go south to ride him in the cup and will return I'm- the Easter meeting nt Iticcnrton. 'Pile Awapuni horseman S. Anderson will do the remaining riding of the team. Silver Sight, Dracula ami Court Yard were associated in a schooling task over fhe brush hurdles today. Dracula, pulling hard, gave a dashing display in front over six hurdles. Silver Sight jumped the first two well, but ran off at the third and again at the same fence in lite second circuit. This was an unusual experience for Silver Sight. Court Yard jumped only two hurdles without having much pace on. As was the case last year, Court Yard cannot lie persuaded to show Iris ability in sehooline work.
