INGENIOUS HEATING FOR SWIMMING BATH
All one morning recenlly a traction eiighie chugged and sputtered steam Into the chilly waler of the swimming bath al. the Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln. The annual swimming sporls were being held in the afternoon. and because of the lateness in the season and the uninviting appett’.’of the waler on such a dull, cold day, the organizing cot decided to find some way <>|’ warming the water. The colleges traelioii engine was commandeered, a Hleiim pipe was IPd from the boiler Io lhe bath, and during the morning sletini was passed through the waler ,so tlint by the afternoon it was warm enough.
