Intoxication Charge Appearing on remand after his conviction in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, on Monday on a charge of being intoxicated in charge of a car on March 21, Albert John Havill, slaughterman, aged 48, was yesterday sentenced to ten days’ imprisonment with Icard labour by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M. His licence was suspended till May 31 and lie was prohibited from obtaining another for 12 months after that date. A medical report showed that Havill was in a condition of mental deterioration, said the magistrate, but that he was not certifiable as mentally defective.
