. Returned Home Sir Charles and Lady Statham, who are visiting Christchurch, will return homo tomorrow. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Allen, Wellington, who have been the guests of Mrs. A. 11. Allen, Dunedin, have returned home. On Holiday Mrs. H. Loudon. Rotorua, is spending a holiday in Wellington. Mrs. John Dunean, Heretaunga, will leave today to visit her mother, Mrs. Percy Baldwin, Palmerston North. Mrs. Peter Savage, Auckland, will arrive on Friday with her two children to spend a month with her mother. Mrs. Vivian Riddiford, “Woburn,” Lower Hutt. Miss Margaret Malfroy and Miss Penelope Blundell will leave today for the Hawke’s Bay races. Miss Malfroy will be the guest of Mrs. J. Lowry. Oreka, and .Miss Blundell will be the guest of Mrs. Dudley Newbigin, Hastings.
Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Thompson, Hong Kong, who are spending some months in New Zealand, are at present in Kaiteri, near Nelson. They will visit Mrs. Thompson’s father, Dean Haggitt, and Mrs. Haggitt, in Nelson, before going to Wellington to join the Wanganella on April 13 on their return journey to Hong Kong. Visitors to Wellington Miss Edith Farrell, Matamata, is spending a holiday in Wellington. ■Miss Vida McClure, Wellington, will be the guest of Miss Maberley Beadel, Merivale Lane, for the Canterbury provincial golf tournament, which will begin on April 13. Mrs. W. J. White, Hastings, who has been visiting her sisters, the Misses Enright, Christchurch, has returned to Wellington, where she will spend a few days before leaving for home. Mr. and Mrs. A. I. Rattray, Christchurch, are viistors to Wellington for the garden party which will be given by their Excellencies Lord and Lady Galway at Government House tomorrow. Returned To Wellington Sir Lionel and Lady Fletcher, London, arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday. Going Abroad Mrs. and Miss Margaret D’Ath, Glenburn, Lower Hutt, left yesterday by the Awatea for a holiday visit to Australia.
Mr. and Mrs, Charles Pinkerton, Detroit, U.S.A., who have been spending a few months in Wellington, left on Sunday for Auckland-, en route for Sydney, where they will reside for a short, period. Miss G-wenneth: La Trobe Hill, Rotorua, will leave shortly from Wellington by the Arawa for England. Her marriage to Mr. Alan, G. Abbott, of Durham, will take place at Fairoak, Hampshire.
