CONSPIRACY CHARGE
Disappearance Of Wanted Man BOMBAY, March 24. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of J. Woolcott-Forbes, whose extradition to Sydney is sought in answer to a charge of conspiracy. Woolcott-Forbes has appeared in court several times since his arrest here, the last occasion being on March IS. when the hearing was adjourned till March 30. Today the Prosecutor told the Chief Magistrate that Wool-cott-Forbes’s whereabouts was unknown.
John Woolcott-Forbes. who is widely known in commercial and racing circles in Sydney, was arrested by the Bombay police in accordance with cabled instructions from the Sydney police when the liner Strathnaver arrived there in January.
He was released on bail pending his extradition to Sydney. At the same time Douglas Jowett Bush was arrested in Brisbane on the charge that he conspired and agreed with WoolcottForbes and other persons to defraud the Producers and General Finance Corporation and other persons of large sums of money. Bush was remanded to Sydney.
