MOLYNEUX RIVER
Bridge At Clydevale
Opened By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, March 26. The dream of Clutha Valley settlers for more than 60 years was realized on Saturday .afternoon when the punt that has provided the only means of crossing the Molyneaux River at Clydevale during that time was superseded by a modern concrete bridge which will meet the needs of the district for very many years to come. That it was a notable day for the district was Shown by the fact that about 2500 people were present for the opening of (lie bridge by the Post-master-General, Mr. Jones, and full justice was done to the occasion in the celebrations which had been arranged. With the completion of this bridge only two punts remain on the river, one at Tuapeka Mouth and the other at Pa retai, below Balclutha.
