Recognizing Services Of Mr. William Wallace
Dominion Special Service.
AUCKLAND, Marell 28. Various means of recognizing the services of Mr. Wililam Wallace to hospital work Ln Auckland and New Zealand were adopted by tlie Auckland hospital Board tonight. They included the presentation of a plaque and a cheque to be made at an executive meeting of the Hospital Boards Association in Wellington and it was proposed that the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, be asked to make the presentation in the presence of representatives of all the hospital boards in the Dominion and of the contributory local authorities iu Auckland. It was also decided that a raised plaque showing the head and shoulders of .Mr. Wallace should be made and placed in the Wallace Block at. the Auckland Hospital till it could be placed permanently in the Assembly Hall of the proposed new buildings. An appropriate tablet recording ids work to the board and the Hospital Boards Association anil the nurses and midwives Registration Board was also agreed upon for placing below the plaque.
