FALL FROM LORRY
Woman Killed Instantly By Telegraph—Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, March 27. Thrown from a motor-lorry on Epiha Road, Motunui, yesterday afternoon, Miss Annie Elizabeth Webb, aged 27, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Webb, Tikorangi, was killed instantly. Site was a member of a party which visited Motunui Beach for a swim, and which was returning in. a motor-lorry driven by Arthur AVebb, brother of the young woman. Miss Webb apparently stood up in the back of the lorry and leaned over with the intention of speaking to som one in the cab. She missed her footing and was thrown over the side of the lorry on to the road, the back wheel of the lorry passing over her chest and head, killing her instantly.
CYCLIST DIES FROM INJURIES Collision With Motor-car By Telegraph — Press Association. OPOTIKI, March 27. lan Leishman, aged 16, only son of Mr. C. Leishman. farmer, Kutarere, died in the Opotiki hospital on Saturday night from injuries received through the bicycle he was riding colliding with a car near his home.
