WAR RISK RATES INCREASED

LONDON, March 24.

The underwriters have revised war risk rates as between the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand as follows:—Outwards, 7/6 per cent.; homewards, 10/- per cent. Between North America and Australia and New Zealand, both ways via the Cape, 5/- per cent.; via Panama and Pacific, 2/6 per cent. Between Australia and New Zealand and East Africa, South Africa, West Africa, north of the Equator, both ways, 5/- per cent.; south of the Equator, 2-6 per cent. Rates for the Mediterranean, except Spain and Spanish possessions. 7/6 per cent.; India, Straits Settlements, and Japan, 2/6 per cent.: Hong Kong and Shanghai, 5/- per cent.
