The following promotions and appointments to the Venerable Order of the Hospital of St .John of Jerusalem have been made : —■ For admission to I lie grade of officer: Captain David Collingwood Low, M.D., Divisional Surgeon, Nelson Ambulance Division. For a'dmission to the grade of offi-cer.-—Mrs. Mary Cook MeWhannell, lady divisional superintendent, Wellington Suburban Nursing Division. For admission to Hie grade of serving sister: Mrs. Rosalie Georgina Wilson. Lady Corns Officer, Wellington. Wellington warrants of appointment: E. Sherry, cadet superintendent, Palmerston North; J. W. Roy, cadet officer, Petone; C. R. Hawkes, ambulance officer, Hastings. Service chevrons: Ambulance Sister M. E. Anyoii. Wellington Suburban Nursing Division: Private T. D. Philpot. Wellington East Ambulance Division.
