BOY DIES FOLLOWING BICYCYE ACCIDENT

Fatal head injuries were suffered by a boy when he fell off his bicycle at Mount Roskill on Saturday afternoon. The victim was Barrie Llewellyn Bailey, aged 10. son of Mr. Clifford Bailey, Mount Roskill. When the accident occurred the boy was on an errand, accompanied by three other boys. They rode down a steep grade, and it was while turning at the bottom of the hill that deceased, who had a milk billy on the handle of his bicycle, fell, striking his head on the paved roadway, suffering haemorrhage of the brain. He died in hospital.
