“CAN’T CARRY ON”

Speaker Of Queensland Assembly’s Death BRISBANE, March 25. A note found in the room of Mr. Pollock, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, who was found shot dead in Parliament House on Friday, read : — ‘‘Complete nervous and mental breakdown. Can’t carry on. Too much pain.”

The death has occurred in Tokio of Mr. Yotaro Sugimara, Japanese Ambassador in Paris, who had returned to Tokio on a health trip.
