FLIGHT OF GRAND MUFTI
Escaping French Military Round-up DAMASCUS, March 21. Tlie Grand Mufti is believed to have fled to Hedjaz, thereby escaping the Drench military round-up in which mass arrests were made of Palestine rebel leaders and Syrian nationalists. A Jerusalem message states that lighting continues between the autonomists and unionists. Sixty-one persons were wounded at Jebeldruse. At Damascus two demonstrators were killed and twelve wounded yesterday. Thirty police were injured.
