Wellington Club
There was an unusually large attendance at the Wellington Esperanto Club rooms this week. Mr. E. A. Hornblow, who presided, announced that Sro. E. Archdeacon, of Paris, who has entertained several New Zealand Esperantists on his luxury boat on the Seine, has been promoted from Chevalier to Officer of the Legion of Honour for his services to Esperanto and aviation. Mr. W. L. Edmanson, examiner for the British Esperanto Association, presented the association’s diploma to Mr. .1. 11. Thomas. A welcome was extended to Mr. tv. Wills, an English Esperantist.who intends to live permanently in New Zealand, . .. , The director of tuition. Mr. V. J. Keekestablished a new class which he placed under the guidance of Mr. M . Kerr. Rota classes will recommence next week. After the tuition hour. Mr. T. W. (Jvaham cs'pokt' <?u his wfliidcrings through India and China, illustrating his talk with lantern .slides.
