KARORI HOCKEY CLUB
Annual Meeting Held
The annual meeting of the Karori Hockey Club was held in the Parish Hall, Karori, this week. Mr. W. G. Purves presiding in the absence ol' the president, Mr. B. G. H. Burn.
The election of officers resulted: — President, Mr. B. G. H. Burn (re-elect-ed; : elub captain, Mr. R. M. Wood ; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. P. J. Spiers; assistant hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. Jenkins; management committee, Messrs. M. Browne, P. J. Spiers, It. M. Wood, W. Jenkins, O. K. Perrin, C. Moore, P. Adams, W. Shaw; selection committee, Messrs, li. M. \\ ood, M. Browne, and O. K. Perrin ; delegates to Wellington Hockey Association, Messrs. O. K. Perrin, M. Browne, W. Jenkins, and R. M. Wood; hon. auditor, Mr. R. Watchman (senr.). The report disclosed a very satisfactory season, the club being successful in winning the club.championship, and also the following grade championships Senior A, junior (equal with Huia), third and fourth. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £65/4/- in the general fund. Badges were presented to the following players who gained senior representative honours: —-M. Browne (who was also congratulated on his selection in the New Zealand team for the three Test matches against the Prince of Manavadar’s Indian eleven), E. Roberts, P. Adams, K. Perrin. C. Edwards, I< Harrison, and W. Shaw.
