HUNT FOR RADIUM IN WALES
A secret search for radium-bearing ore is to be made at a desolate spot in the mountains of Snowdonia. This quest is th'e consequence of a remarkable experience of a man who had been working alone in the mountains, cutting up rock. After breaking up a rock fragment he was overcome by drowsiness and had to abandon the job. A few days later be went baek to the spot and carried away the rock, which he sent, together with an account of what bad happened, to a company.
The rock was subjected to tests, and correspondence followed in which the company said they believed the drowsiness was due to radium.
