A smart suit showing the combination of two colours lias ti black skirt topped witli a coat of pastel dahlia hopsack. A soft rouleaux of I lie material edges the long roll collar and frogs the coat. A particularly pretty tweed is an opalescent greyish-blue, with glints of many colours. It is used for a very smart suit with a plain skirt, and a three-quarter coat. The coat is n box coat slightly wider toward the hem, buttoned with square woollens right up to the small standing collar. Big double patch pockets are very smart. A useful ensemble is the coat and skirt and topcoat combination. A coat and skirt conventionally tailored from a delightfully soft china blue tweed is worn under a long straight coat of the same tweed. Endless varietv bv means of different blouses, jumpers or tunics is possible with this foundation ensemble, —Agnes Samson, Lambton Quay.—Advt.
