REPERTORY PRODUCTION

A comedy, “Housemaster,” has been chosen by the Wellington Repertory Theatre Society to begin its 1939 activities. It will afford the younger members of the society an opportunity to show audiences the quality of their work. No fewer than 17 characters are in this delightful play of English public school lite, by Mr. lan Hay, an adaptation of his famous novel “The Housemaster.” Under the title of “Housemaster,” .it ran in London for no fewer than 663 performances. “Housemaster” will be produced in the concert chamber of the Town Wellington, for five night performances, starting next Tuesday at 8 o’clock. The production will be directed by Leo du Chateau. The east is: Mrs. W. A. Martin Heather Horrax, .Marjorie Hutton, Elspeth McArthur. Eileen _ Toward, N inure Thomson, Vivian Rhind, Ur. 1 • ii’Benham, A. G. O. Deuber, Eric Lawson, John Roberts, A. 11. Macandrew, Lindsay Arlow, C. A. Burgess. Murray Todd, Richard Climie, and Lawrence Gardiner. Mr. Cedric Wright is the stage manager, Miss Irene Spidy and Mies Pat Brown the property mistresses, Miss Paulino Shotlander is in charge of the wardrobe, and Miss Coralie .Smythson is the prompter. The scene which will be used was built by Mr. W. J. Johnstone and painted by 'Mr. W. J. Conroy. Mr. George Colledge is the electrician.
