RIFLE BRIGADE MEETING
A general meeting of executive members of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, residing or enlisted in the Hutt Valley, was held at the Working Men’s Club, Petone. There was a good attendance. The balance-sheet of the first reunion, held in September, 1938, showed a satisfactory result. A strong committee was elected to make arrangements for future gatherings. The committee of the Eastbourne subbranch of the Plunket Society met recently, when it was reported that there was again every prospect of activities this year being as successful as in the past. Arrangements were made for a bring-ancl-buy to be held at the boating club pavilion on March 30.
