ALLEGED THEFT OF MONEY
Said To Have Been Taken From Man’s Pocket Evidence against John Sandford Valvoi, labourer and stableman, aged 39, on a charge of stealing £l/10/frorn the person of .1. T. Spencer, was heard by Mr. E. Gilbertson, J.P., and Mr. R. Cashman. J.P., in the Magistrates' Court, Wellington, yesterday. Accused pleaded not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Sub-1 nspector D. J. O’Neill conducted the prosecution and Mr. A. M. Haldane appeared for accused. Valvoi was alleged to have taken the money from Spencer’s pocket outside tin hotel in Cuba Street.
