MOTOR-CYCLE SAFETY

Meeting Of Wellington Riders Tonight

Motor-cyclists are to discuss proposals for increasing the safety of the roads at a meeting in No. 2 committee room, Wellington Town Hall, at 5.30 p.m. today. The fate of traffic accidents, parti-, cularly motor-cycle accidents, is causing the Minister of Transport, Mr. Semple concern, and the Road Safety Council at its next meeting will consider suggestions for effecting an improvement in the accident rate among motor-cyclists. A number of proposals have been put forward by local bodies and motor-cycle dealers and clubs throughout the country. Wellington motor-cyclists will have an opportunity of discussing these proposals and of suggesting means of reducing the number of accidents at the meeting this afternoon. All motorcyclists who are interested in furthering road safety are invited.
