PLANT RESEARCH STATION

> New Auckland Building Dominion Special Service. AUCKLAND, March 21. The opening of the fine modern laboratory building at the Mt. Albert plant research station of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research to be performed on Saturday by the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, marks a new stage in the gradual development of an institution which promises to be of great and increasing value to the fruit-growing and other primary industries. The station supercedes the one which was maintained for more than 10 years in Palmerston North and in which a great deal of most useful work was' done under difficulties.
