COMEDY PICNIC
A comedy picnic will be held in Hutt Park on Saturday. This picnic is being arranged by the Wellington Provincial Centennial Memorial Committee, to augment the funds for a memorial which wiil be erected on the Petone Beach. An enjoyable day'w outing designed to cater for all tastes ip promised. Items will include trotting and whippet, races; a back race for women riders; a draught-horse derby in which leading Trentham jockey.will have the mounts, and another drnughhorse race in which members of Parliament, the mayors of Petone and Lower Unit, and town clerkp will ride. Two bands will attend. Proceedings will begin at 11.30 a.m.
