STOCKS AND SHARES
Wellington Market Quiet RESTRICTED DEMAND There was little change in the Wellington share market yesterday. The demand was very quiet and the turnover moderate. Banks were quiet with Nationals of New Zealand firm and New Zealands inclined to be easier. Chain stores were easier, Woolworths, Ltd., selling at 23/and 22/6, while buyers of Woolworths (N.Z.) were back to 16/6. Australian shares generally were quiet with little demand.
