Mass Mobilization In Hungary ALL OBJECTIVES NOW ATTAINED (Received March 20, 8.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 20. The Bucharest correspondent of “The Times” says it is estimated that Hungary has mobilized 400,000 men, for which the pacification of Ruthenia is an inadequate excuse. It was stated yesterday that Ruthenian resistance to the Hungarians was stiffening in the mountains, and that a desperate battle was in progress near Perecsey, north of Chust.

It was stated, however, that the Hungarian advance was proceeding according to plan, and today it is officially announced that the Hungarian troops have attained all their objectives. The troops are stated to have reached the border of Poland and Tatarhago. The Hungarians secured all the Ruthenian archives left in, the car of the former Premier of Ruthenia, M. Volosin, when he fled the country. Refugees in Rumania. Nine thousand refugees have entered Rumania from Ruthenia. They declare that the Hungarian guards shot dead Dr. Cocerham, the former Ruthenian Secretary of State and Dr. Slavacek, Public Prosecutor in the Sevlus district. The Rumanian newspaper “Romania” reported yesterday that 70 Czech soldiers were wounded fighting against the Ruthenian guards. The report adds that the Hungarians, though aided by planes, were encountering great difficulty and bad not occupied Chust. The Rome correspondent of “The Times” reports that the Hungarian Premier, Count Telekl, and the Foreign Minister, Count Czaky. warmly thanked Signor Mussolini and Count Ciano, Italian Foreign Minister, for their early realization of Hungary’s jusb'daims, and for their assistance before Hungary’s occupation of Ruthenia.
