PRODUCE PRICES
Further Drop Unlikely On London Market Dominion Special Service. AUCKLAND, March 20. . On one of his periodic visits of inspection to his company’s branches in New Zealand, Mr. L. Speakman, general manager of Dalgety and Company, Ltd., London, arrived from Sydney by the Niagara today. He will spend a few days in Auckland and six weeks in the Dominion altogether, travelling as far south as Invercargill. Mr. Speakman declined to discuss the various aspects of New Zealand produce on the London market, .but admitted that prices were about as low as they could go aud that he did not think they would drop further, except in the event of something untoward. It was probable, he said, that any major international trouble might result in prices improving as long as produce could be delivered to England.
