Season Concludes Tonight Having an irren'iatihle appeal because it is a comedy-thrilier, "Someoue at the Door,” which was presented for the second time in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall last night, bore out the wise choice of the Thespians in selecting this type of play for the first production of its 1939 season. “Someone at the Door” should not be missed by anyone in search of thrilling entertainment. The Thespians have obtained an outstanding cast for this pro duetion, including several of Wellington's best-known and more popular actors, iu excellent roles. Those taking part in the production inelude Selwyn Toogood. Joan Goodwin, 11. A. Painter. Myles F. E. Wright, R. J. Larkin. John McCreary, and Arthur Rayner; the stage manager iis Evan Hurrowell, the properties are iu the cure of Susie Painter, and the prompter is Jack McLeod. Victor S. Lloyd, the society’s director, produced the play. The story of “Someone al the Door” concerns Bonnie Martin, a young num who fancies that the only road to journalistic success is to land a sensational front-page story of the London Sunday paper type, and be conceives the idea of faking a murder and selling the story to a newspaper. He proposes to murder his sister Sall, who. after scoffing at. the preposterous idea, is persuaded that it might be “a rag” and agrees to go into hiding for a week. The season will conclude tonight.
