FIRE IN TE KUITI SCHOOL
Central Block Destroyed
By Telegraph—Press Association. TE KUITI, March 20. Fire completely destroyed the central block of the Te Kuiti primary school buildings this morning. The block consisted of five classrooms, the headmaster’s study, containing records and equipment, and the teachers’ room.
The fire was well under way when it was first noticed. Nothing was saved ill the central block, but the brigade prevented the flames from spreading to an adjoining block though handicapped by low water pressure.
