LATE MR. W. H. CLARIS

Mr. William H. Claris, the Public Works engineer who was killed on Friday afternoon when a Miles Magister aeroplane crashed near the aerodrome boundary on Great Barrier Island. was a native of Wellington. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. 11. J. Claris, 152 Hataitai Road, Hataitai. His father is engaged in farming in Taranaki, and his mother was visiting Taranaki when the accident occurred, though she is still residing in Hataitai.

Mrs, Horsbrtigli, Masterion, is a sister, and Mr. Keith Claris, a school teacher in the Paliiatua district, is a brother.
