ARMED GUARDS IN CAPE TOWN

All Police Reservists Called Up (Received March 19, 7.5 p.m.) JOHANNESBURG, March 18. All South African police reservists have been urgently called up and leave has been cancelled. It is believed that this action follows the German protest against the restriction of immigration to Southwest Africa. Armed guards were placed over the power station Cape Town and also at the overseas cable terminus, the city reservoir and the docks.
