Tlie tuberculosis block in .the Balclutha Hospital, to the cost of which Mr. Samuel Saltzman contributed £3OOO was officially opened today. Mr. Saltzman’s public benefactions now exceed £lB,OOO, made up asH’oilows: Grev Hospital. £1000: Oamaru Children’s Hospital, £2000: childrims lieaTth camp, Company’s Bay, £1250; Waipiala sanatorium block. £3000: St. John Ambulance building, Dunedin, £7000; Balclutha tuberculosis block, £3OOO. Total, £18.525.
