Mr. H. R. Duncan, a director of Cook Strait Airways, travelled from Wellington to Nelson on Saturday by air. Mr. W. F. Tracy, Christchurch, arrived at. Wellington on Saturday by the interisland express.

Mr. W. M. Carson, Sydney, wtio is touring New Zealand, is visiting Wellington.

Dr. T. L. Paget, of the Health Department, was a passenger from Wellington to Nelson on Saturday by air. Mr. O. N. Campbell, Under-Secretary for Native Affairs, arrived at Wellington by the Limited express from Auckland on Saturday.

Mr. W. .1. Mountjoy, secretary of the Wellington Employers’ Association, returned Io Wellington by the iuterisiand express on Saturday. Mr. J. P. Million, -postmaster in Woodville, has been transferred on promotion to a similar position in Waipukurau. Mr. W. G. Belton, chairman of the Patea County Council, returned to South Taranaki on Saturday after a visit to Wellington. Mr. A. E. Mausford, mayor of Palmerston North, has returned from tlie south, where he attended flic annual conference of the Municipal Association.

Mr. H. F. Ayson. Resident Commissioner and Chief .Judge of the Cook Islands, arrived at Auckland by the Mariposa on Friday on a brief business and health visit to New Zealand. Mr. A. Dempster, stores anil repairs secretary of tlie Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, Ltd., and secretary of the Wellington Patent Slip Company, leaves Wellington tonight by tlie Awatea for a holiday visit to Australia. Mr. Dempster expects to be away five weeks. Mr. J. Butler, of tlie Employment Division of the Labour Department, Wellington, lias been appointed district agent for the Social Security Department in Dannevlrke. Mr. Butler is a well-known Rugby footballer and lias represented both Wellington and Auckland. He has been a member of Die Marist Brothers’ Old Boys’ Club for ninnv years.
