AERIAL TOUR OF EUROPE
Former Australian Minister Dominion Special Service. AUCKLAND, March 17. After travelling thousands of miles by air and visiting practically every country in Europe, Mr. J. J. Gregory MeGirr, Sydney, passed through Auckland by the Mariposa on his return to Australia. Mr. MeGirr, who was accompanied by his daughter, Miss Patricia McGirr, was for many years prominent in Australian politics and was Minister of Health in the Storey Labour Government of New South Wales about 15 years ago. Using aeroplanes of many nations, Mr. MeGirr and his daughter travelled about Europe for many months, going east to Moscow, north to Finland and south to Greece by that method of travel. He said it was startling how quickly language and. money questions changed and how small the Continent of Europe appeared to be. In his opinion, air travel was by far the best.
