LICENSING BREACHES
Wellington Cases Pleading guilty to selling liquor after hours, Peter Joseph McArdle, licensee of the Paekakariki Hotel, for whom Mr. W. Perry appeared, was fined £3 by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday. Arthur George Ray ward, licensee of the Wellington Hotel (Mr. W. P. Shorland), was fined £3 for failing to admit a constable. For supplying liquor after hours, Arthur Beren, a porter at the Midland Hotel, was fined £2. George Robert's and Clem Alexander Shannon were each lined 30/- for taking liquor into «. dance hall without the permission of the city council.
Iu a reserved decision, the magis-trate-convicted -Stanley Carter of obstructing a constable at the Gresham Hotel and imposed a fine of £6.
