Electrician Convicted Stated to have stolen a wristlet watch from a room-mate and pawned it for 10/- and subsequently, when informed that the loss had been reported to the police, to have redeemed it and returned it to the room, Frederick James Barry, aged 30, an electrician, was convicted toy Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, on a charge •of tlieft. The watch belonged to Keith Adams and was valued at £3/10/-. Barry was ordered to come up for sentence if called on within 12 months.
