“The Apple Cart” To Be Produced The Wellington Repertory Theatre’s next presentation will be lan Hay’s amusing comedy, “Housemaster,” which ran a couple of years iu Loudon, ami is still being laughed at iu the English provinces. The production to follow the Hay comedy will be George Bernard Shaw’s political extravaganza, “The Apple Cart,” first produced at the Malverp Festival about thirteen years ago. What makes this announcement peculiarly interesting is that the situations as set out in this amusing play, are in places analagous to what Is taking place in New Zealand. The Cabinet. which Shaw sets out iu his cast of characters, might 'have been based on that of New Zealand; even the fictional Prime Minister is Christiannamed Joe. Then there is the bold blustering Bill Boanerges, for whom some people might find a counterpart in the New Zealand Cabinet of the day. Bill thinks that Joe Proteus (the Prime Minister) is going too slow, sets out to shake things up in the Cabinet room, and, does so,_ .
