CARPENTER STRUCK BY BUNDLE OF STEEL
Wellington Accidents An injury to Ills right shoulder and back was received by a carpenter employed on the const ruction of the new M.L.C. building on the corner of Lambton Quay and Hunter Street, Wellington, when he was struck by a bundle of steel, at about 3 p.m. yesterday. The injured man was Mr. C. Gallagher, and he was also suffering from shodwhen removed to the hospital. A waterside worker, Mr. T. Collins. 26 Sussex Street, was struck by a piece of steel while working on.the Glasgow Wharf yesterday morning. He received a lacerated wound on his left hand.
Mrs. N. Nyman, tailoress, 22 Ran mati Terrace. received lacerated wounds ou the third and fourth fingers when her left hand was caught in the belting of a machine at her place of employment.
A child of eight, Donald Athaway. Miramar, fractured his right arm when lie fell off a fence late yesterday afternoon.
The injured persons were taken to the Wellington Public Hospital by the Free Ambulance.
