“I have the greatest admiration for your social legislation, in much of which you have shown the way to the world, and I hope in this respect that your country will have every success in the future,” said Dr. Martin Cooley, a member of the Medical Service of the Veterans’ Administration of the United States Government. He arrived with his wife by the Miretsuycker from Saigon iu the course of a world tour. His headquarters are in Washington, D.C. “New Zealand deserves a lot of credit for what it has done, and is still doing,” he said. “Frankly, I like your social programme. I believe it is iu keeping with the times.”
