WELLINGTON COLLEGE z GARDEN PARTY
To raise funds to pay for the. provision of three fives courts at Wellington College, a garden party will be held on the college grounds tomorrow afternoon. Strong committees of women have organized stalls for the sale of sweets, cakes, produce, flowers, novelties, drinks, ices, nooks and magazines; and special attractions will be presented. The boys of the college will provide spectacular displays of military drill and physical training, the physical training displays, always a feature in the college open-air entertainments, promising to be better than on other occasions. The NgatiPoneke Young Maori Party, under Mr. Kingi Tahiwi*sen., will give action songs ; and the Boys’ Institute Band, and the Caledonian Pipe Band 7 will play during the afternoon. The baths and tennis courts will be available to those who wish to use them. Golf putting will also be provided for. At night, the prefects will hold a dance in the college gymnasium. •
