Helen Parrish's Lucky Call At Casting Office

J-JELEN PARRISH owes her start in moves to a purely accidental visit to Hollywood’s famous Central Casting Bureau. Helen’s sister, Beverley, four years her senior, had arranged to register at the bureau, and it was quite by chance that Helen happened to accompany her. After Beverley had signed up, and they were on the point of departure, something about Helen caught the fancy of the man in charge of the office. Calling them back, he stared at Helen a 'moment, and then stated abruptly, “I can use that child.” In this laconic fashion the young Universal star was launched on her screen career.
