Future Of Tin
The directors of Kuala Lumpur Tin, No Liability. New Guinea, did not take a pessimistic view of the future of the tiumining industry, said Mr. Ambrose Pratt, chairman of the company, at the annual meeting in Melbourne recently. The iow consumption of tin, Mr. Pr,att said, was due to political conditions throughout the world. There seemed to be some restoration of confidence, and a possibility of increased business in consuming industries. If it had not been for the operations of the Restriction Committee, and to some exlent the buffer pool, the bottom would have fallen out of the market. The price bad been kept between £2OO ami £230 sterling a ton, which had enabled the company to operate at a profit. *
